Baseball Recap: Charlestown Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

Charlestown lost to South Dearborn back in May of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Pirates came out on top against the Knights by a score of 8-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pirates.

Charlestown pushed their record up to 14-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for South Dearborn, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-9.

Charlestown wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Salem on the 19th. As for South Dearborn, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-0 loss against Batesville on the 19th.
