Basketball Recap: Bishop Ward Takes a Loss

Bishop Ward was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Northland Christian, falling 43-22. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Northland Christian this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 50-43 back in January.

Ruby Wheeler continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Northland Christian, dropping a double-double with 17 points and 17 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Wheeler a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Kaitlyn Kellam, who posted seven points and five boards.

Bishop Ward's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Northland Christian, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Bishop Ward wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 55-13 loss against Kansas City Christian School on the 21st. As for Northland Christian, they have also already played their next game, a 57-24 defeat against Heritage Christian Academy on the 21st.
