Football Game Preview: Shadow Ridge Mustangs vs. Las Vegas Wildcats

Shadow Ridge has gone a perfect 4-0 against Las Vegas recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Shadow Ridge Mustangs will look to defend their home field against the Las Vegas Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. Shadow Ridge's defense has only allowed 8.9 points per game this season, so Las Vegas' offense will have their work cut out for them.

Shadow Ridge's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They breezed by Silverado to the tune of 27-0. Considering the Mustangs have won 12 matches by more than 19 points this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Aubree Davis continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 95 yards and three touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in rushing yards (28). Another player making a difference was Jaylani Palmer, who picked up 60 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, Las Vegas faced Liberty in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. Las Vegas lost to Liberty at home by a 32-14 margin.

Shadow Ridge will have to contain Alayna Littlewood as she made an impact in Las Vegas' last game. She picked up 116 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexandria Lindaman, who threw for 287 yards and two touchdowns.

The win made it two in a row for Shadow Ridge and bumps their season record up to 18-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.5 points over those games. As for Las Vegas, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.

Shadow Ridge took their victory against Las Vegas in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 32-6. Will Shadow Ridge repeat their success, or does Las Vegas have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
