Basketball Recap: Martinsville Comes Up Short

Martinsville lost against Centerville back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Martinsville Pirates were dealt a 76-47 loss at the hands of the Centerville Bulldogs.

Jake Slaten was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 44 points and 21 boards for Centerville. Slaten is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least nine every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Iain Kendrick, who posted 12 points.

Martinsville now has a losing record at 16-17. As for Centerville, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-6.

As of now, neither Martinsville nor Centerville have any future games scheduled.
