Baseball Game Preview: Belle Tigers vs. Eugene Eagles

Belle hasn't had much luck against Eugene recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Tigers will be playing at home against the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Eugene took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Belle, who comes in off a win.

On Thursday, Belle was able to grind out a solid victory over Jefferson City, taking the game 12-8.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Eugene's offense. They came up short against Father Tolton on Thursday, falling 8-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Eagles were not able to get on the board.

Belle pushed their record up to 10-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Eugene, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-8.
