Basketball Recap: Mt. Vernon Picks Up 22nd Consecutive Win

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Mt. Vernon had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They blew past the Benton Bobcats, posting a 68-22 win. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 18 games by 22 points or more this season.

The victory (which was Mt. Vernon's 22nd in a row) raised their record to 23-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.1 points. As for Benton, their loss dropped their record down to 10-15.
