Baseball Recap: Cornerstone Christian Victorious

Cornerstone Christian had lost three games straight , but after bumping their record up to 6-7 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Brooklyn Hurricanes. For the Patriots, this counts as revenge for the 13-11 victory the Hurricanes walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2022.

As for Brooklyn, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. Having soared to a lofty 21 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Brooklyn's part, Aiden Starr made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Coming up, Cornerstone Christian will venture away from home to square off against Cuyahoga Heights at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brooklyn, they will host Glenville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hurricanes are facing the Tarblooders at the right time seeing as the Tarblooders are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
