While Winnfield's victory against Red River wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Winnfield narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Red River 9-8. Nine seems to be a good number for the Tigers as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Payden Parker was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Daniel Luke Page, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Winnfield now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Red River, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-9-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winnfield will venture away from home to square off against Caldwell Parish at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Red River, they will square off against Many at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
