Softball Game Preview: Antonian Prep Apaches vs. TMI-Episcopal Panthers

Antonian Prep is a perfect 4-0 against TMI-Episcopal since March of 2025 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Apaches will be playing at home against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Antonian Prep has three straight victories, TMI-Episcopal has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Antonian Prep let Incarnate Word stack six runs on them in the seventh inning on Tuesday but luckily Antonian Prep prevailed anyway. The Apaches walked away with a 10-7 win over the Shamrocks.

Isabella Garza was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025. Trinity Silva was another key player, going 4-for-5 with three stolen bases, two doubles, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Antonian Prep kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 11-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

TMI-Episcopal couldn't beat Incarnate Word last Tuesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Panthers lost 15-4 to the Shamrocks.

Molly Chambers was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases. Another player making a difference was Dilan Geder, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Antonian Prep's victory bumped their record up to 19-9. As for TMI-Episcopal, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Antonian Prep has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like TMI-Episcopal struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Antonian Prep got the 'W' in their previous meeting two weeks ago against TMI-Episcopal by a conclusive 11-1 score. Will the Apaches repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
