Football Game Preview: Leland Cubs vs. East Webster Wolverines + Official Tickets

The Leland Cubs will challenge the East Webster Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Leland has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while East Webster will arrive with nine straight victories.

On Thursday, Leland was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 10-6 to J.Z. George.

Meanwhile, East Webster put their dominant defense on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand Eupora a 26-0 shutout. The Wolverines might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by 20 points or more this season.

East Webster's win came from a few key players Leland will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was RT Moye, who rushed for 121 yards and one TD while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. Dakarai Coffey was another key player, picking up 61 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

East Webster was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 232 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Leland's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for East Webster, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.
