Basketball Recap: East Jefferson Takes a Loss

East Jefferson lost against Benjamin Franklin back in November of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The East Jefferson Warriors took a 48-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Benjamin Franklin Falcons.

Sophia Johnson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Benjamin Franklin, going 11-for-27 en route to 24 points in addition to seven rebounds and seven steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Johnson has scored at least a third of Benjamin Franklin's points. Another player making a difference was Sidnii Williams, who posted eight points.

East Jefferson has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for Benjamin Franklin, their record now sits at 15-16.

East Jefferson has already played their next matchup, a 60-40 loss against John Ehret on the 10th. As for Benjamin Franklin, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-28 win against Bonnabel on the 10th.
