Volleyball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Waller

Waller entered their tilt with Hays on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Hawks.

Waller found their leader in sophomore Kristin Nichols, who had 18 digs and three assists. Those 18 digs set a new season-high mark for Nichols.

Hays' loss came despite strong showings from Olivia Conway and Angela Huffman. Conway had 14 digs and two aces, while Huffman had five digs and three aces.

Waller's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Hays, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Waller wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Brenham on the 16th. As for Hays, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Glenn on the 16th.
