Volleyball Recap: Waller Beats Hays for Their Third Straight Victory

Waller waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Hays Hawks.

Waller found their leader in sophomore Kristin Nichols, who had 18 digs and three assists. Those 18 digs set a new season-high mark for Nichols.

Despite the loss, Hays had strong showings from Olivia Conway, who had 14 digs and two aces, and Angela Huffman, who had five digs and three aces.

Waller's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Hays, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Waller didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Brenham on the 16th. As for Hays, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Glenn on the 16th.
