Volleyball Recap: Whitman-Hanson Regional Takes a Loss

Whitman-Hanson Regional was the 3-0 winner over Pembroke when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Titans on Monday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-20, 17-25, 25-23.

Leah Barnett paced Whitman-Hanson Regional's offense, picking up eight kills. Barnett really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 11. Brooke Steele controlled things from the service line, finishing with eight aces.

Pembroke can attribute much of their success to Abi Demille, who had 17 digs and three assists. That's the most digs Demille has posted over her last five matchups.

Whitman-Hanson Regional's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Pembroke, they pushed their record up to 15-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Whitman-Hanson Regional has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Plymouth South on the 22nd. As for Pembroke, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Marshfield on the 22nd.
