Basketball Game Preview: Hart 2 Hart Academy Warriors vs. First Christian Lions

Hart 2 Hart Academy and First Christian are an even 4-4 against one another since February of 2021, but not for long. Having just played yesterday, the Hart 2 Hart Academy Warriors will get right back to it and host the First Christian Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Hart 2 Hart Academy fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Hope Christian Academy on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Lions by a score of 54-51. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Warriors have suffered since December 7, 2023.

Meanwhile, First Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 64-58 heartbreaker at the hands of Open Bible Christian.

Hart 2 Hart Academy will have to contain Morgan Earnhart as he made an impact in First Christian's last game. He went 10 for 25 en route to 27 points and seven assists. Another player making a difference was Brayden Pedersen, who posted 12 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals.

First Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Hart 2 Hart Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.

Hart 2 Hart Academy strolled past First Christian in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a score of 50-34. Does Hart 2 Hart Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will First Christian turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
