Softball Recap: Colts Neck Cougars vs. Middletown North Lions
It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Colts Neck ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They won by a run and slipped past the Middletown North Lions 2-1. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 4-0 victory two weeks ago.

Angela Sasso made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over eight innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one triple.
