Softball Recap: Westland Cougars vs. Whitehall-Yearling Rams
Westland had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They wound up on the wrong side of a tough 18-5 walloping at the hands of the Whitehall-Yearling Rams on Monday. The loss means Westland is still on the hunt for the season's first 'W'.
Aileen Mendoza made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-2 with a stolen base and a double.
Whitehall-Yearling now has a winning record of 2-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westland will square off against Lincoln at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
