Slinger had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Grafton on Monday. The Owls' pitchers stepped up to hand the Black Hawks an 11-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Owls, who have now won five matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

Slinger's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Grafton, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-9.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Slinger is set to take on their familiar foe Cedarburg at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Grafton will face off against rival Whitefish Bay at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
