Football Recap: Osceola Falls to Indian Rocks Christian in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Osceola unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They and the Indian Rocks Christian Eagles were almost perfectly matched up on Friday, but the Warriors suffered a 34-33 loss. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Even if they lost, Osceola's defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Dustin Martin and Kejon Franklin, who racked up all four sacks between them.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Indian Rocks Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gavin Galish, who threw for 101 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in two rushing scores. Austin McDonnell was another key player, picking up 58 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Osceola wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 14-0 victory against Dunedin on the 28th. As for Indian Rocks Christian, they will host Seffner Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
