Baseball Recap: Kennebunk Takes a Loss

Kennebunk was the 7-6 winner over Cheverus when they last played one another back in June of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Rams fell 5-2 to the Stags on Tuesday. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kennebunk got a good showing from Logan Jones, who tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits.

At the plate, Kennebunk saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Garrett Taschereau, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Jack Joyce also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Kennebunk's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Cheverus, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.

Coming up, Kennebunk will face off against Scarborough at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Red Storm's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Rams' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Cheverus, they will square off against Windham at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.38 runs per game on average), something the Stags will no doubt try to take advantage of.
