Football Recap: Lake Forest Skates Past Dover with Ease + How To Watch

The matchup between Lake Forest and Dover on Friday hardly resembled the 14-7 effort from their previous meeting. The Spartans blew past the Senators 49-20. Fans of the Spartans have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Lake Forest was led to victory by Jack Parson and Demarion Russ. Parson rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, while Russ rushed for 107 yards and a pair of scores on only ten carries. Parson's longest rush was for an incredible 90 yards. Dominique Hall was in the mix too, providing Lake Forest with two TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Lake Forest was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 395 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 206 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Lake Forest didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Keylund Bailey and Lamier Wright.

Lake Forest's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Dover, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Forest will square off against Archmere Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Dover, they will challenge Caravel Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
