Basketball Recap: New Richmond Comes Up Short

New Richmond was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a hard 79-63 fall against the Menomonie Mustangs. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 298th, while the Mustangs are ranked 117th).

New Richmond's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Menomonie, the victory got them back to even at 11-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Richmond will challenge Holmen at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Menomonie, they will welcome Chippewa Falls at 7:15 p.m. on February 21st.
