Basketball Recap: El Dorado Skates Past Galt with Ease

El Dorado came into Tuesday's game having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They breezed by the Galt Warriors to the tune of 79-31 on Tuesday. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 21 points or more this season.

Logan Baker was his usual excellent self, going 9 of 15 on his way to 22 points along with seven boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Bird, who went 5 for 9 en route to 14 points.

El Dorado smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in three consecutive matches.

Galt's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Anthony Rose-Garcia, who posted 13 points, and Jayden Gaither, who scored 12 points.

El Dorado's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 8-10. As for Galt, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16.

El Dorado didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 64-51 loss against Bradshaw Christian on the 17th. As for Galt, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 64-53 defeat against Amador on the 15th.
