Basketball Recap: Southwest Florida Christian Comes Up Short

Southwest Florida Christian lost against Bonita Springs back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Southwest Florida Christian King's took a 45-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bonita Springs Bullsharks. The King's defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Kyleigh Weick was her usual excellent self, putting up 21 points for Bonita Springs. Maya Taylor was another key player, posting ten points.

Southwest Florida Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Bonita Springs, they moved to 1-6 with that win, which also ended their eight-game losing streak.

Southwest Florida Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on North Fort Myers at 5:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Bonita Springs will take on Fort Myers in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
