Baseball Recap: Aztec Comes Up Short

Aztec lost against Kirtland Central back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Tigers fell just short of the Broncos by a score of 4-3. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kale Watson was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He also hit a triple, marking his first of the season.

Aztec's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Kirtland Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-11.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Aztec will face off against rival Gallup at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Kirtland Central is set to take on their familiar foe Bloomfield at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
