Basketball Game Preview: Pershing County Mustangs vs. North Tahoe Lakers

Pershing County hasn't had much luck against North Tahoe recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Pershing County Mustangs will face off against the North Tahoe Lakers at 3:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

If Pershing County beats North Tahoe with 63 points on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. Pershing County simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Wells 63-28. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, North Tahoe entered their tilt with Oasis Academy on Tuesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Bighorns by a score of 59-48.

Pershing County pushed their record up to 11-13 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for North Tahoe, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-6 record this season.
