Soccer Recap: St. Croix Central Takes a Loss

St. Croix Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Somerset Spartans, falling 3-0. St. Croix Central were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Somerset earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

St. Croix Central's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Somerset, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-6-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Croix Central will venture away from home to take on Hayward at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. St. Croix Central will be up against Hayward's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.17 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Somerset, they will square off against Menomonie at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
