Basketball Game Preview: Hampton Roads Academy Navigators vs. Heritage Hurricanes

Having just played yesterday, the Hampton Roads Academy Navigators will head out on the road to face off against the Heritage Hurricanes at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Hampton Roads Academy is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Catholic just ended the team's 12-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 63-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crusaders.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Nalani Carter, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 boards. Abby Fiala was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Meanwhile, Heritage was beaten by Woodside 65-19 on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Hurricanes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 214th, while the Wolverines are ranked 84th).

Hampton Roads Academy's loss ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 13-2. As for Heritage, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.
