Volleyball Recap: Lakota Comes Up Short

After flying high against Northwood on Tuesday, Lakota came back down to earth. The Raiders lost 3-0 to the Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains on Thursday. The Raiders have struggled against the Chieftains recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-20, 25-17.

Maddie Holcomb was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 17 digs and two aces. Those two aces gave her a new career-high.

Lakota's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Hopewell-Loudon, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lakota will challenge rival Gibsonburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Hopewell-Loudon is set to square off against their familiar foe Danbury at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
