Softball Game Preview: South Albany Redhawks vs. Lebanon Warriors

South Albany is 0-10 against Lebanon since April of 2018 but things could change on Wednesday. The Redhawks will venture away from home to face off against the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. South Albany is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

South Albany was handed a ten-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Corvallis, sneaking past 4-3.

South Albany saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alicia Martindale, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Emily Tschida was another, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Lebanon's offense. They lost 15-0 to Dallas on Monday. The match marked the first time this season in which the Warriors were not able to get on the board.

This is the second loss in a row for Lebanon and nudges their season record down to 4-11. As for South Albany, their win bumped their record up to 5-10.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. South Albany hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Lebanon struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
