Basketball Recap: Manley's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

It was a good run, but Manley unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. The game between them and the Lincoln-Way West Warriors didn't end well, with the Manley Wildcats falling 78-61. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 71-63 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2022.

Manley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Lincoln-Way West, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.

Manley will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Raby at 4:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Manley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Raby likes a good challenge. As for Lincoln-Way West, they will venture away from home to challenge Plainfield Central at 3:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
