Baseball Recap: McClain Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for McClain's offense. They came up short against the Unioto Shermans on Tuesday, falling 7-0. The Tigers' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

McClain saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landen McNeal, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double. That hit was McNeal's first of the season.

McClain's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Unioto, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McClain will face off against Western Brown at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Unioto, they will head out to square off against Zane Trace at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.
