Soccer Recap: Glendale Comes Up Short

Glendale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Camarillo Scorpions. While losing is never fun, the Nitros can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 728th, while the Scorpions are ranked 160th).

Glendale now has a losing record at 3-4-3. As for Camarillo, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-1-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glendale will head out to take on Wilson at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Glendale is facing Wilson at the right time seeing as Wilson is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Camarillo, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Moorpark at 7:15 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Camarillo will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
