Volleyball Recap: Orem Comes Up Short

Orem and Crimson Cliffs squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Orem had to settle for second. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Crimson Cliffs got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Colsen Neal out in front who had 16 digs and two assists. Hudson Wilkenson was another key player, getting 17 assists and five digs.

Orem's loss dropped their record down to 12-17. As for Crimson Cliffs, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 17-3.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Orem will challenge Pine View at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday. As for Crimson Cliffs, they will take on Desert Hills at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
