Northridge blew Newark Catholic out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday Newark Catholic got their revenge. The Vikings fell just short of the Green Wave by a score of 3-1. The Vikings' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Garrett Penrod spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on six hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Northridge saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Parker Hill, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run.

Northridge's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Newark Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.
