Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Summerville). They put the hurt on the Tulare Union Tribe with a sharp 10-3 win on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Bears have posted since May 8, 2024.

Marcus Rodriguez was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jonny Whitney, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Summerville moved to 2-5-1 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Summerville will head out to take on Temecula Valley at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tulare Union, they are taking a road trip to square off against Corcoran at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
