Basketball Recap: East Lincoln Now 10-1 over Last 11 Games

East Lincoln extended their road winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Emma Montanari. The East Lincoln Mustangs took down the Hickory Red Tornadoes 70-56 on Friday thanks in part to Montanari, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten assists. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last nine games she's played.

Another player making a difference was Maddie Matz, who went 5 of 11 en route to 14 points. She is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games.

East Lincoln has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Hickory, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.

East Lincoln will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Statesville at 6:30 p.m. East Lincoln is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.5 points per game this season. As for Hickory, they will head out on the road to take on North Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Lincoln knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 16 matchups -- so hopefully Hickory likes a good challenge.
