Baseball Recap: Cooper Takes a Loss

If Cooper was feeling good fresh off their 15-0 takedown of Bland last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cooper Bulldogs fell just short of the Lake View Chiefs/Maidens by a score of 8-6 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered since February 22nd.

With the loss, Cooper broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-4. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 12 runs. As for Lake View, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-16-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cooper and Wolfe City will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cooper is facing Wolfe City at the right time seeing as Wolfe City is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Lake View, they will take on Estacado at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
