Baseball Recap: Tatum Extends Winning Streak to Three

Tatum entered their tilt with White Oak on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Roughnecks. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Roughnecks, too.

Tristin Berry spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on ten hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jaxen Prince and Cooper Whiteus did most of the damage at the plate: Prince scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Whiteus went 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Tatum's win bumped their record up to 17-6. As for White Oak, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-7-1.

Tatum will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Roughnecks: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
