After failing to score in their last game, Lake Gibson made sure to put some goals up on the board against Lake Region on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Lake Region Thunder as they made off with an 8-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Braves, who have now won five matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Lake Region from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Brinley Herndon led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

The win got Lake Gibson back to even at 7-7-2. As for Lake Region, their defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-9.

After both having extra time off, Lake Gibson and Kathleen will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 6:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025. As for Lake Region, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Frostproof at 7:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
