Preview: Strasburg Indians vs. Estes Park Bobcats

Strasburg is 9-1 against Estes Park since January of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Strasburg Indians will be playing at home against the Estes Park Bobcats at 6:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Strasburg has 12 straight wins, Estes Park has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Strasburg stacked a tenth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They breezed by Wellington on the road to the tune of 94-27. While fans of Strasburg might be used to big wins, the 67-point margin marked the team's biggest victory yet this season.

Strasburg's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Landen Martin, who scored ten points along with five assists and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Velasco, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.

Meanwhile, Estes Park pushed their score all the way to 57 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a serious blow against Highland, falling 86-57. Estes Park has not had much luck with Highland recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Strasburg's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.0 points per game. As for Estes Park, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.

Everything went Strasburg's way against Estes Park in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 as Strasburg made off with a 60-40 win. Will Strasburg repeat their success, or does Estes Park have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
