Basketball Recap: Avalon Takes a Loss

Avalon suffered their biggest loss since December 6, 2024 on Saturday. They came up short against The Palmdale Aerospace Academy Griffins, falling 58-37.

The Palmdale Aerospace Academy found their leader in sophomore Jacob Sacopla, who shot 42% from the field to rack up 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrian Rivas, who posted ten points and eight boards.

Avalon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for The Palmdale Aerospace Academy, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Avalon will host El Modena at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for The Palmdale Aerospace Academy, they will be playing at home against St. Monica Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Griffins' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
