Baseball Recap: Stafford Takes a Loss

Stafford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 7-1 to the Somers Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-0 back in April.

Stafford saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luca Houle, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Stafford's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Somers, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stafford will challenge Ellington at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Somers, they will square off against Cromwell at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
