Tupelo not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 15, 2024. Everything went their way against the Ripley Tigers as the Tupelo Golden Wave made off with a 9-2 victory. The Golden Wave's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The win snapped Tupelo's losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 2-7 record. As for Ripley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Coincidentally, Tupelo and Ripley will both be playing West Union the next time they take the field. Ripley will host West Union at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while Tupelo will play them later in the day, at 11:45 a.m.
