Soccer Recap: Loyola Academy Gets the Win + How To Watch

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Loyola Academy had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Ramblers who were credited with the victory. The Loyola Academy Ramblers got it done in the shootout by posting seven goals to the Maine East Blue Demons's six. Given Loyola Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 37th, while Maine East are ranked 172nd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Loyola Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5-3 record this season. As for Maine East, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11-2.

Looking ahead, Loyola Academy will head out on the road to take on Maine South at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Maine East does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
