Baseball Recap: Wood Memorial Comes Up Short

Wood Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 11-1 to the South Spencer Rebels. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 13-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2015.

Wood Memorial's record now sits at 3-9. As for South Spencer, their record is now 8-9.

Coming up, Wood Memorial will square off against Pike Central at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for South Spencer, they will face off against Northeast Dubois at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Jeeps will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Rebels surely won't give up without a fight.
