Baseball Game Preview: Gaylesville Trojans vs. South Lamar Stallions

For the second straight game, Gaylesville will face off against South Lamar. The Trojans will square off against the Stallions at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Gaylesville heads in on the heels of a playoff game on Friday. They came up short against South Lamar, falling 7-1. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Trojans couldn't push the score so high this time.

Gaylesville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Baty, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

South Lamar has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for Gaylesville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.
