Volleyball Recap: Plainfield Central Takes a Loss

Plainfield Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Plainfield North Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 two weeks ago.

Plainfield North found their leader in sophomore Dylan O'Connor, who had nine digs and four aces. Those four aces set a new season-high mark for O'Connor. Another player making a difference was Joey cavlovic, who had 30 assists and nine digs.

Plainfield Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Plainfield North, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 11-14.

Looking ahead, Plainfield Central will square off against Joliet West at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Plainfield North, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Willowbrook on the 26th.
