Preview: White Plains Wildcats vs. Cherokee County Warriors
Having just played yesterday, the White Plains Wildcats will get right back to it and host the Cherokee County Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Hopefully White Plains is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Cherokee County in Alabama (White Plains is ranked 130th, while Cherokee County is ranked 399th).
Even though Jacksonville scored an imposing 65 points on Monday, White Plains still came out on top. White Plains escaped with a win against Jacksonville by the margin of a single free throw, 66-65.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Cherokee County, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 61-45 loss to Spring Garden on Friday.
White Plains has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season. As for Cherokee County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-15.
Everything went White Plains' way against Cherokee County in their previous meeting two weeks ago as White Plains made off with a 60-36 victory. Does White Plains have another victory up their sleeve, or will Cherokee County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
