Mullen hadn't done well against Eaglecrest recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Mustangs narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Raptors 3-2. For the Mustangs, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Raptors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Mullen had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 23-25, 25-23, 25-12, 15-6.

Mullen is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. As for Eaglecrest, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.
